Happy Saturday friends! It is time again for weigh in! To be honest, after all the Christmas eating and such, I wasn't sure I wanted to weigh in, but I committed to do it so I got up and went to my WW Studio. Apparently listening to my body helped a lot this year! I was down 2.2 lbs! I am a bit in shock because I did indulge on some candy and desserts and some bread, but for the most part, I listened to my body and when I was full, I handed the plate off. This is a big thing for me. As of almost a year ago today, I was 182.4. As of today, I am down to 171.2. I have lost 11.2 pounds this year. I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but considering everyday was not an OP day and I did indulge here and there, living life and enjoying some ice cream and desserts, I will not complain. This means I am almost halfway to my goal weight of 135. I am at my lowest weight during my married life. My mindset is changing which is a good thing. I'm still eating certain things like butter, etc. and I am not starving or eating lots of processed foods, which is also a positive. I am under construction and am a work in progress. Finding ways to make this plan work for me is huge and I'm proud of my efforts! Looking forward to conquer some things in 2020!
S’mores Protein Bites Recipe You can find the original recipe here from Six Sisters' Stuff. The one below is the way I prepared it. Ingredients 1½ cups Simple Truth Old Fashioned Oats ¼ cup crushed graham cracker crumbs ½ cup Simple Truth almond butter ½ cup raw honey ¼ cup vanilla protein powder (I used Orgain Vanilla Protein Powder) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ½ cup mini marshmallows ¼ cup mini chocolate chips Instructions Combine all ingredients in a bowl or stand mixer until well combined. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on a baking sheet covered with foil or parchment paper. Place in the freezer for about 1 hour, then store in a resealable bag or airtight container in the fridge for up to a week (or in the freezer for up to a month). This original recipe says 15 servings. I am not sure if I used a smaller scoop but I came out with 25 or so. There were a couple that were smaller.
FANTASTIC!!!! I have that ONLY word as well but I know we both shouldn't. Any loss is a loss and over 10 is fantastic!!! A lot of people gain over the year but due to mind full eating most of the time you have a loss.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful! Eleven pounds for the year is actually great: that's almost one pound for every month of the year. I finally feel like my mindset is changing too, so I am hopeful for 2020.
