Happy Tuesday friends! Hope your Monday went well. I am sad to say that I did not stick within my points allowance yesterday. I will do what I can to hit my Points Allowance for the remainder of the week. Okay, now to discuss the "elephant in the room", why the name change? Well, to be honest, given the way things have been going, I need a pep talk and thought others might need one too. Also, I decided on this because my dear friend and former WW leader was doing a "Pep Talk Tuesday" and I thought it would be a good idea for our little part of the internet. For those of you that know me, in real life or as an online presence through social media, I'm a pretty positive person. Definitely glass half full person, by all accounts.
From my own experience, I have been maintained a great schedule with my workouts and with my eating and I have not been so great with my schedule or with my eating. I know that I feel better when I'm working out and eating well. These days I feel like I just have to take one step at a time. It takes about a month to create a new habit.
After listening to the audiobook, Choose to Lose, and following along in the hard copy of my book, I was reminded of the power of the mind. Sometimes, we let our minds and bodies win out over what we know we need to do. Let's be honest, we only have one body. Yep, just one! While there are some days I feel like I need to look for replacement parts, my body is pretty amazing.
Have you read Atomic Habits? It was such a wealth of information. Some of the information I already knew, but focusing on a small thing each week should help me hit my bigger goal.
I know this one is a bit all over the place, I will improve!

It really is a choice but the power of our mind making excuses as to why to NOT make the healthy option is so much stronger!!! Grrrr!
