April, while more on plan than previous months this year. I think I am feeling more positive going into May than I have for quite some time. This is truly a process for each of us. The thing I am thinking about now is my future. Honestly, how do I want to spend it? In pain because of my weight? No, I want to be able to hike mountains and walk around and enjoy the scenery. I don't want my weight to hold me back from the things that I want to do. As was once said to me by a friend, if I am not happy with myself or something about myself, then I am the only one that can change that. Well, with a little help from above.
My weigh in yesterday put me at 195. I am the same as I was 2 weeks ago which is a good thing. I've been yo-yo-ing and it can be frustrating for me. My goals for May:
Move more;
Track consistently;
Plan my meals accordingly.
How am I going to make that happen? Well, I have not been real successful with getting up earlier to work out but when I don't, I'm going to figure out a way to get a 15 minute walk in at lunch time and a 15 minute walk before or after dinner. Tracking beforehand or pre-tracking seems to help me a great deal. I find I am more likely to stick with what I have written down because I don't want to go back and change it. Planning meals has been a difficult challenge for me, but I'm determined to find a way to make this work for me. I am going to spend some time this week to get my freezer meals done. I intended to do that this weekend, but my DH decided he wanted to change out the water heater and it turned out to be an all day job. He got it done though. He is doing the primarily plant based with me and I am thankful for that.
I know this is going to be a busy month for us so I think the freezer meals will really help. I need to figure out when those meals will be eaten along with some other ones. I feel like if I can do this consistently with the freezer meals that it will help us be more prepared. Hope everyone has a great Monday!
